I am Alena Gurenchuk — a portrait photographer living and working in Prague (Prosek). Since 2014 I have focused primarily on portrait photography, and my greatest motivation is to capture people in a way that lets the photographs naturally tell their story. I work so the final images are gentle, emotive, and technically clean. My approach combines an eye for light, composition, and the ability to create a relaxed atmosphere in front of the camera — even people who are not used to being photographed quickly relax and express themselves naturally. This applies both to personal portraits and to those who need representative images for a professional environment. What makes my portrait special? I concentrate on the details that highlight your personality — the expression in your eyes, subtle gestures, natural posture. I’m not interested in rigid, posed shots, but in working with moments and gentle direction for movement and posing that result in natural outcomes. I shoot both outdoors (making use of the local character of Prague and Prosek) and in the studio, depending on your preferences. Business portraits as an add-on. As a secondary service I also offer business portraits suitable for LinkedIn and corporate presentations. These images are restrained, professional, and designed to support your visual identity in the workplace without overpowering your personal character. How do we work together? Before the session we’ll discuss your ideas, choose the location and atmosphere, and I’ll advise on clothing and small adjustments so you feel confident. During the shoot I emphasize natural interaction and comfort. After the session you will receive the retouched images as agreed, prepared for both print and online use.
