My name is Michal Slanec and I approach portrait photography as a way to capture personality and genuine emotion. I love photographing people — whether calm studio portraits, energetic outdoor shots, or professional corporate images for LinkedIn and company presentations. Jihlava and the surrounding area are my home base, but I’m happy to travel to other locations as needed. My approach is simple: a calm atmosphere, open communication, and an eye for the decisive moment. I aim to make a photo session feel less like a set of instructions and more like a natural conversation — clients relax quickly and the result is authentic images that say more than just a well-lit portrait. I work both in a studio in Jihlava and on location at places that matter to the client — locations where people feel themselves often produce the best results. I choose techniques that support the expression and mood of each image. I use professional equipment (Nikon Z8, Z7 and high-quality lenses), along with reflectors and flashes to achieve a clean and consistent result. I shoot classic portraits, corporate headshots and LinkedIn photos with a focus on professionalism and naturalness. If preferred, I also offer sessions at your home or another chosen site — whatever suits the portrait best. How does the collaboration work? Before the shoot we agree on the style and location so I can prepare the lighting and scene according to expectations. During the session I guide the sitter while leaving room for spontaneous moments — those are often the most valuable. I edit the final images to look natural and professional, with careful retouching that keeps your appearance authentic.
