I am Romana Musilová, a portrait photographer based in Uherské Hradiště. I have been dedicated to portrait photography since my youth — I trained as a photographer and my work has been shaped by an interest in portrait, documentary and abstraction. In my portraits I search above all for atmosphere and authenticity: I want the images to breathe the moment in which they were made. I specialize in natural portraits for individuals, couples, families and professional corporate portraits. I understand that every client comes with different expectations — some want relaxed, informal images, others a professional portrait for LinkedIn or their website. My approach is always personal and unforced: conversation, gentle direction and patience help even the shyest people relax in front of the lens. I describe myself as small, energetic and inventive, which often means I can fit into a backpack — useful when shooting at smaller locations or when discreetly documenting a situation. In my portrait work I draw on documentary sensitivity as well as a refined graphic sense — the result should be clean, aesthetic and at the same time emotive. For corporate portraits I emphasize a professional appearance, clear lighting and subtle retouching so the photographs appear trustworthy and representative while remaining authentic. I like to thoroughly discuss the intent with clients before the shoot, propose suitable locations and wardrobe, and give practical tips for achieving a natural expression. My work has been recognized in several competitions and I have exhibited in regional galleries, which reflects my long-term commitment to quality and aesthetics. I also have experience with reportage and event photography, which helps me capture natural moments across family and portrait assignments.
